Thank you, McFarland, for providing this book for review consideration in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Mr. Book just finished Cooperstown’s Back Door: A History Of Negro Leaguers In The Baseball Hall Of Fame, by Paul D. White.

This book was published in November 2024.

This is an excellent book on the Hall of Fame and their treatment of Negro League players. The book covers a wide range of topics, including the formation of the Hall of Fame, racial bigotry in the majors, the fight to get Negro League players into Cooperstown and the constant battle to make sure that they have the right amount of representation.

Any baseball fan will learn a lot about the subject by reading this book.

I give this book an A+ and inducted it into the Hall of Fame.

Goodreads requires grades on a 1-5 star system. In my personal conversion system, an A+ equates to 5 stars. (A or A+: 5 stars, B+: 4 stars, B: 3 stars, C: 2 stars, D or F: 1 star).
